Junior 'A'/Scholarship Development
Program Description

This program is recommended for elite players looking to take their game to the Junior or College/University level. This program will be run in the manner of a Jr 'A' training camp. Players will begin the day with two hours of intense skill development on the ice. This will be followed by one hour of strict off-ice training. Students will learn proper stretching techniques, hockey specific plyometrics and will also be introduced to NHL weight training routines. Each student will be put through a fitness test similar to the standards used by the NHL. Students will then spend an hour in the classroom learning about such topics as the OHL vs NCAA, the purpose of a player agent, proper nutrition, injury management, mental fitness and more. Past speakers have included former NHL players, player representatives, OHL scouts, OHL coaches, health and nutrition specialists, and members of the sports media.
